World Wide Web Basics

The way in which the web works is fascinating. It is so incredibly easy to understand. When a website is created, it is stored on web servers that are located all over the world. Web site visitors need to find what they are looking for on your site. If they can't find the product that they want, they can't buy it. Or if you they can't find more information about a service that you offer, they might not be convinced that your company can do the job.

To visit the websites, all that is need is the URL (Uniform Resource Locators) or website address. Your server sends the request out to the server where the website is stored  and then the website is sent to your server which in turn sends it to your computer. This is all done instantaneously.
